Poems

Two different concepts

Sweaty palms, heart racing

Insides start to shake, the mind starts to lose control

Unknown emotions take over me

Be smart they say

Do what you want, but be smart.

How is that even conceivable

The two are miles apart

To be smart

I would walk away and lock myself away

Pack all that is me and move beyond;

The seas and the stars to never be seen again

Leave behind every memory

That is if I were smart otherwise

I would run head first into this unknown

Not accepting the small emotion at hand

Avoiding the subject even with myself

Letting it grow into something more

Be smart is all I am told

Being smart is equivalent to becoming robotic

To live without this emotion

I need to be smart, but can I be?
