The snap

I knew the moment it happened

Saw the raw emotion  cross your face

If it was quite enough we would have heard the snap

The snap of self control

The control to contain your emotions

I heard the deep intake of air

The count to ten like they recommend

Needing just a moment of peace

Shedding tears that no one will see

Not out of anger to give that is too much

No, more like annoyance

She’s like a pest that won’t die

Buzzing around making too much noise,

But for how long?
