Poems

Rather not

My hands shake;

Frozen in time; frozen in place

Muscles lock-up; which way to go?

Should I fly?

I always wanted too; up high like a kite

Run or fight is all I’ve known

The running shoes never disappeared;

Only replace by heels

Trained by birth to walk

Taught to trust the gut;

To listen to the brain not the heart

The heart is not a creditable living thing

It struggles to keep the right and wrong in place

Struggles to keep the world in perspective

The mind is a stronger vessel

 Fall for the thoughts

Behind the face; win the heart later on

We agree to disagree

They say enjoy the fall to earth

Enjoy the thrill of life

Enjoy the good and bad

Pain will be the end result

Should I enjoy the hit as well

Thanks, but I rather not
